A sweet way to finish 2017.
In the end of December I had the pleasure to go meet up Bianca, one of my BFFs, in Paris and I’d like to share a bit of this travel. I know it’s March already! I honestly could not find the time to sit down and write this post until right now.
My first trip to Paris was in 2011, to meet this same friend, so we thought would be nice to get together again there!
We arrived in a super rainy Paris on the 27th of December and went directly to out sweet hotel. Right in front of the Louvre! We stayed at the Hôtel de la Place du Louvre and it was amazing! Location, quality and price was unbeatable. After this short stop, we went to Le Bon Marché to meet with B. Together, we went to Cafe de Flore to catch up and hide from the cold rain.
Our day finished after stocking up with beauty products at City Pharma.
Luck was on our side on our second day and we got lots of sunshine. We headed to Montmartre and went to a cafe for some breakfast. We made a friend named Nachos there. Obviously, we could barely leave the place. We walked around Montmartre for a while, I’ve found the Maison Rose. While doing some photos, a sweet french photografer asked to do our portrait, because we looked beautiful (honestly just saying what she said!!)! We felt super good and we thought of going for a walk near the Seine to see the sunset. After all this walking, we were really hungry and went for dinner at Lulus friendly diner which was SO CUTE! We were super tired and took an uber back to the hotel to sleep.
Our third day was rainy again, so we went for a quick breakfast at Cafe Kitsuné at the Palais Royal. I was super lucky to get to meet with my favorite french illustrator, Lea Maupetit, so we head out to Marais. It was the worst rainy day, but Lea made everything better! We walked around, she showed me her favorite spots and we got to talk about our love of dogs and illustration over tea!
We went to Peonies Paris for lunch, but only when we arrived we realized they were closed during the holidays. Big fail. We had lunch at Paris Paris instead. Our next stop was at Sezane to meet Bianca and shop a little bit. For dinner we walked over to the Hoxton and had an amazing time.
Fourth day was saved for the Dior exhibition at the Musee des Arts Decorativs, which was stunning beyond words.
Last lunch with Bianca was at Dépôt Legal and it was a feast! It lasted 3 hours and we could have stayed for another 3! For our last night in Paris, after a small missadventure, we got to stay at the Brighton Hotel, thanks to the lovely staff of Esprit de France Hotels. We woke up in the most beautiful room on the very last day of the year, and it was a sweet and unforgetable way to end our little Parisian escape!
